• Each Auction Event has a start date and time assigned by the Event owner. The Event owner also sets the closing date and time - this is when all lots will begin closing, typically at staggered intervals to allow users additional time to bid.
• The Event owner can also decide if proxy bidding will be used. Proxy bidding allows bidders to enter a maximum bid that the system can bid up to on their behalf as other bids are placed. If the event does not use proxy bidding, then each users bid is accepted 'as-is' and is the new lot bid price.
• You may see a "Buyer's Premium" fee on some events. The Event owner can decide what percentage, if any, they wish to charge on top of the final bid amount. The Buyer's Premium is applied directly to sales invoices. As the site owner, you have the option to set a separate "Buyer's Final Fee" which is payable to the website and added to a separate fee invoice.
